Notes:
Liz Archibald is a registered dietician and nutritional therapist who also holds an MPH in Nutritional Epidemiology from UNC-Chapel Hill and a degree in psychology from Duke University. She has 20 years of experience as a practicing nutritionist providing Medical Nutritional Therapy (MNT) to kids, adults, seniors and families. Liz specializes in eating disorders, sports nutrition, food allergies, sensitivities, and aversions, weight management, type 1 and 2 diabetes, lipid disorders, cardiovascular disease and cancer.
Liz’s philosophy: “ Nutrition is a science, but applying it is an art.” She combines her knowledge of biochemistry and nutrition with psychotherapeutic techniques (mindfulness, CBT) to enable clients to better understand themselves and their bodies in relation to what they eat. By utilizing this approach, her clients are able to make proper mindset and lifestyle changes to achieve long term health and success.
Liz has worked at Westchester Medical Center, as the senior nutritionist at The Wilkins Center for Eating Disorders, and then exclusively in private practice. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American Diabetes Association and the Academy for Eating Disorders.
Liz also is fluent in Spanish, teaches cycling classes and lives in Ridgefield, CT with her husband and 2 daughters.
